AirAsia has partnered with Sugarbox, the country’s hyperlocal cloud platform, to provide superior service to its passengers. Through this partnership, passengers will be able to access his OTT content on AirAsia flights. Sugarbox and AirAsia launched the “AirFlix” service in this partnership. This gives passengers free access to his 6,000 hours of HD content and his over 1,000 Bollywood and Hollywood movies and web series.
Most importantly, passengers don’t have to suffer buffering on board while watching movies. Because AirFlix is built on his Sugarbox cloud service. It offers speeds up to 1 Gbps and 8 TB of storage. This allows you to enjoy games or read news articles while flying.
You can also shop online. This type of service is also available on Air Vistara, but does not offer news articles or shopping services. Apart from this, we also don’t see any Indian web series.
Commenting on the partnership with AirAsia, Sugarbox co-founder and CEO Rohit Paranjape said: This is the first such initiative in the world. “Airflix” provides passengers with access to OTT apps, e-commerce, news, podcasts and his F&B orders on board.
