Benelli brought the middleweight naked roadster motorcycle to the market with a bang. Whose name is Tornado Naked Twin 500. It has recently made its debut in the international market. The bike is powered by a 500 cc twin cylinder liquid cooled engine, which is already used in the TRK502 range of bikes. This engine is capable of producing maximum power of 47.6 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Comes with 6-speed gearbox. Which is connected to torque converter and slipper clutch.
Talking about the design of the Benelli Tornado Naked Twin 500, it gets vertically mounted twin pod headlights with T-shaped DRL at the front. The face is very aggressive. It also gets body colored front fenders, radiator shroud, 14-litre fuel tank, split seat and under-belly exhaust system. It would be good if you get a glimpse of it. There are 50 mm telescope forks at the front and spring preloaded monoshock absorbers at the rear for better suspension. The rear suspension can be adjusted by the rider as per his preference.
Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm twin disc while a 260 mm single disc at the rear. There are 17-inch alloy wheels on both the front and rear. 120/70 section tires are used on the front wheels and 160/60 section tires are used on the rear wheels.
Notable features of this bike from Benelli include a five-inch TFT color display with Bluetooth connectivity, with which all the information of the smartphone can be seen. This model also gets handlebar controls and LED headlights. Benelli has informed that the Tornado Naked Twin 500 will be available in the international market from the second half of 2023. However, there is no confirmation about the launch in India yet.
