Honda’s new 125cc bike to compete with KTM Duke 125, this feature is not found anywhere else!



To compete with the KTM 125 Duke, Honda has brought a new version of its 125 cc bike CB125R. The Neo Sports model has received four new paint schemes as the latest update. They are – Matte Black, Silver, Blue and Candy Red. The matte black version has a stealthy look. The belly pan, tank extension and USD casing have been given a black finish. But the USD cover of other models is gold colored.

Honda last brought its CB125R in 2021 with Euro-5 emission norms engine. It produces 14.95 PS of power and 11.6 Nm of torque. Which is 1.63 PS and 1.63 Nm more torque than the Euro-IV output. Honda claims a top speed of 105 kmph. It has a 10.1 liter tank and a smaller engine.

Incidentally, there has been no change in the hardware of the 2023 Honda CB125R. As before, the bike will ride on 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD fork. Note that this feature is not available on any bike in the 125cc segment. It also gets 296 mm front petal and 220 mm rear disc brake with dual channel ABS.

The new Honda CB125R features an IMU or Inertial Measurement Unit driven system. The entire bike stands on a steel trellis frame. Due to the high price, there is no possibility of launching this bike in India. The CB125R’s competitors in the international market include the KTM 125 Duke, Yamaha MT-125 and the Suzuki GSX-S125.
