Hindustan Motors to sell West Bengal electric vehicles abroad

Hindustan Motors once caught everyone’s attention in the Indian market by creating an Ambassador. This time, the company has expressed interest in building electric vehicles. Hindustan Motors will manufacture these at his Uttarpara factory in Hooghly. Not only that, but they are looking to do business in foreign markets beyond this country.India’s first automaker signs deal.

Hindustan Motors wants to pave the way for not only exporting Indian manufactured vehicles to foreign markets but also manufacturing vehicles for foreign markets including parts. In a stock exchange filing on Tuesday, the companies said they were paving the way for cooperation to plan the sale of electric vehicles outside the country.

However, Hindustan Motors has not disclosed details of MoU signing with any company. However, as soon as the news spread, the company’s share price jumped 9 per cent to Tk 18.40 on Wednesday. According to sources, the company will soon announce details on the production of electric vehicles and exports to overseas markets.

Hindustan Motors is India’s first automobile manufacturer. Previously they partnered with a European car company. The main purpose was to produce electric cars. The company plans to launch a two-wheeler in the early stages. Although there is news that it will step into the world of four wheels later. French car company Peugeot has taken ownership of an Indian plant.
