BMW Motorrad has begun preparations to launch the latest version of its acclaimed flagship superbike S 1000 RR in India. It will be officially released on December 10th. Currently, the S 1000 RR is priced at Tk 197,500 in the ex-showroom. Therefore, the ex-showroom price of the base variant of the new model in the country’s market could reach Tk 20.5 lakh to Tk 25 lakh.

The new generation BMW S 1000 RR is more technologically advanced, with a more powerful engine and modern styling. Equipped with a water-cooled 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 999cc. At 13,750 rpm he can produce 206.5 bhp of maximum power, which is 3 bhp more than he was before. A maximum torque of 113 Nm is available at a speed of 11,000 rpm. It also gets a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quick shifter.

In terms of design, the 2023 S 1000 RR features a new type of winglet at the front, very similar to the M 1000 RR. The rear of the bike has a much sportier style than before. New winglets provide additional downforce to the front wheels, making hard acceleration less difficult. Also, the frames used here are very flexible.

The geometry of the new chassis used on Superbikes is more advanced. The previous bike had a wheelbase length of 1,441 mm, now it has been extended to 1,457 mm. In addition to chassis, engine and design changes, BMW has introduced sensor-based slide control technology that increases safety during traction control. The slide control feature combined with traction control technology works well when going through road corners. The result is a much more stable bike and less chance of wheel slippage.

Another notable update for the 2023 S 1000 RR is Brake Slide Assist. Additional protection is provided by this technology, like the slide control feature. Brake Slide Assist provides advanced braking technology while maintaining proper speed in small corners. The 2023 BMW S 1000 RR bike adds his three new paint schemes: Black Storm Metallic, Racing Red Non-Metallic and Light White Non-Metallic.
