Shlok Mukherjee: Search engine giant Google has announced the results of ‘Doodle for Google’ contest 2022. Shlok Mukherjee from Kolkata won the competition from India this year. Shlok has won this award by making an inspirational doodle. The name of the doodle he has made is ‘India on the Center Stage’. That doodle of the post was also featured on Google.co.in on Monday, November 14.

Sharing his amazing doodle, Shlok captioned it, “In the next 25 years, Indian scientists will create their own eco-friendly robots for the betterment of humanity. India will undertake regular inter-space journeys from Earth to space. Apart from this, Yoga and Ayurveda will also grow tremendously in India and will grow stronger in the years to come.

This year, the competition received a total of 115,000 entries from students of classes I to X across 100 cities in India. The panel of judges for the contest included filmmaker, producer and actor Neena Gupta, Tinkle Comics editor-in-chief Kurayakoj Wissian, YouTube creator Slaypoint and artist and entrepreneur Alika Bhatt, as well as the entire Google Doodle team. Jury’s statement about the competition, “My country in the next 25 years…”

The Google Doodle page says, “We were amazed by the creativity and imagination of the students in all the entries. I am also happy to note that technological progress and sustainability have emerged as common themes in many of the doodles.

Naturally, the task of selecting 20 finalists from so many entries from across the country was quite a daunting task for the judges. Priority factors in selecting finalists from entries included evaluation of entries on criteria of artistic merit, creativity, alignment with the competition theme, and uniqueness and novelty of approach. From there, 20 final doodles were displayed online for public voting.
